Definition

The routing layer for distributed energy

Every commercial and industrial site today juggles multiple energy flows — solar on the roof, batteries in the yard, EV chargers in the fleet depot, heat pumps and motors on the floor. Most of these connect through separate AC converters, each adding cost, complexity, and conversion loss.

Joule Junction replaces that tangle with one DC architecture. The current flagship is 800V DC — a solid-state transformer at the grid edge, a modular BusWay for distribution, power conversion with grid-forming capability, and native DC protection. IEEE 2030.5-native metering measures every point on the bus. Energy Management software orchestrates the whole site: forecasting generation, scheduling dispatch, shaving peaks, and enabling VPP participation.

Open standards. No vendor lock-in by design. Independently branded and manufactured in Foshan, China.

Platform intent

  • One DC backbone for sources and loads
  • Native metering — not bridged Modbus
  • Software that optimises the whole site
  • Open standards for utility interoperability
  • Manufacturing scale without brand capture

North star

Global authority on 800 V DC C&I infrastructure

Everything Joule Junction builds, writes, and publishes moves toward one goal: becoming the global authority on commercial and industrial 800 V DC electrical infrastructure (50 kW–10 MW).

Not batteries alone. Not solar alone. Not EV charging alone. The 800V DC platform that connects them — open infrastructure for commercial and industrial projects from 50 kW to 10 MW.
