800V DC is a direct-current distribution architecture. Higher voltage means lower current for the same power — smaller conductors, fewer conversion stages, and a common bus for solar, storage, charging, and loads.
Commercial and industrial sites are adding bidirectional DERs — solar, batteries, EV chargers, heat — onto grids designed for one-way AC flow. Each AC conversion stage costs efficiency and complexity.
Joule Junction’s current flagship is an 800V DC BUS: SST and PCS at the grid edge, plug-in distribution on the bus, IEEE 2030.5-native metering, and energy management as the control layer. The platform is designed for future voltage classes as they mature.
Use 800V DC when you need multi-load C&I density (roughly 50 kW–10 MW), modular expansion, and open standards rather than a single-vendor AC microgrid stack.
